I'm not sure exactly how the RT camera works, but would it be possible to create a RT camera with starfall and render what it sees on a screen? I wanted to make a star trek themed view screen.
Render target cameras destroy performance, especially when there's a lot of entities being rendered. Any Starfall exposed method would result in the same problem.

Would it be possible to create your own form of RT Camera for the server but without the performance issues or is that inevitable?
What about some sort of permission? Like maybe only have it render if you have a certain permission enabled.
I'd guess the performance impact comes from the simple fact, that you have to render the entire world. Given how there probably isn't a way to fix that I don't like the idea of a slight possibility to cause lag by having such a render target. If you're really desperate, you can make your own RT and render some crucial elements of the map (which is fixed, so you don't have to worry about it being inaccurate) - basically what most holographic map displays already do.
