I've updated the module and the Lua integration with the ability to select which files you want to commit.
This functionality will only work with the latest version of the module which is now updated in the original post's attachment. If you're using the older version of the module you'll just get the old committing everything logic still.
Another update to this, the file browser now shows files that have changes or have been added to a git repo when you open/refresh a folder. No need to re-download the module this time.

Well, I need some help with the Git synchro. For some reason, the "Sync" button is completely grayed out, even though I've set up my credentials and my signature correctly. Is there anything else I have to do to make it work? I've checked, my GitHub didn't get a new repo. Have I just forgotten something important that needs to be done on the outside?
This isn't "GitHub", it's git. They're not the same thing. If you want to use a remote repository (which is all GitHub repositories are), then you'll have to make the repository on GitHub, then clone it in game.

Okay. Thanks. I know it's not Git, I just knew that they were compatible, and thus kinda messed up.

I've updated this with support for running on the 64 bit GMod branch, reverting commits and a much newer version of the underlying Git library with important fixes.
The old version will continue to work for now, but I would recommend updating to the new version.
