Change sucks, gonna have to deal with it and dividing the servers up would never work or be practical. TSCM having one server full is something that happens alot so some players are forced to switch to the other server and other times people like to play on the empty server. Not to mention then having to keep up to date information for both maps with somewhat different coordinates or more locations etc. So far only 2 people have said they disliked the map so majority already seemed to have won

1) Due to the map change being only recent therefore you cannot say "it has won".
2) The planets haven't moved therefore no ones builds will be out of place, (Plus people can easly Move there dupes so its kinda irelivent.)
3) It won't be deviding the server up. Just two diffrent maps not like the entire server has changed
4) People who play on an empty server, Fair enough that is a valid criticism however people who love the old map is a counter agreement to that, but its just the map, 90%+ of the server is in its mods and community!

1. There has only been 2 people who said something on the forums. None of the active players dislike the map as far as I can tell.
2. The planets were moved some more than others. And brand new locations were added.
3.i don't even understand what your talking about here. You suggested dividing the servers lol
4. Play spacebuild on flatgrass then.

1. Just because the rest hasn't responded to this whole thing doesn't validate your assumption that they like it.
2. What new locations? Except of course if you're talking about 2 new building rooms. Brand new locations.
4. That's a strawman fallacy. Of course the map plays a (big) factor, but you can't say that nobody will play on the server hosting the old map. At least one person will for sure.
I had a moderately insane idea just then. If the old map isn't gonna be hosted on the 2 servers, I thought of donating enough money for the hosting of a 3rd server. (I think I've gone insane huehueewuuwneufkeslfwel)

1. We have had this thread for a few days people have had a chance to speak out.
2. If a player tried to restore their ship into a buildroom that didn't exist it could get deleted causing complaints.
3. You skipped 3
4. I was referring to Nova saying the map had only a small part in the server
Person as far as I know has the capacity to host more than 2 servers, I've seen 3 of them up at a time. But i assume he doesn't because it would be empty 99 percent of the time. Hosting another server or changing the map on one for two players who are rarely active just seems like a waste of resources.

I wasn't going to get myself into this since I respect peoples opinions about the new map,
however this thread is getting absolutely ridiculous.
If you dislike something you should also know why, and thus also how to fix the issue, right? You dislike me picking blue for Shakuras? Well let me explain something.
Blue is indeed a 'cold' color, however it's not depressing. If anything it is neutral. That's why most business oriented companies use blue in their logos, websites, flyers etc.
Unlike colors like green or red it doesn't have an actual or serious effect on someones psyche. At least that's what I've learned studying colors as a consequence of becoming a Graphics Designer.
However my question would now be: what other color should I have gone for? In the case of proper feedback you should already have an answer to this question.
How about it's original purple color theme as in Starcraft? Well I went with that at first but my testers disliked it quite heavily.
What about green, yellow or red then? All of them get extremely heavy on the eyes after a few minutes/hours. Thus making all of them a bad choice for a build server.
That's why I picked blue as a somewhat neutral, monotone and serious color. If you actually feel depressed because of a blue-ish cyan planet inside a game you might want to seek medical attention.
The other argument which was bought up is the fact that you have to noclip to reach some places. Which isn't true at all. In fact I've probably increased the amount of flat surfaces by at least 30-40%.
As kosmos has stated the only place where you might have some trouble would be shakuras. However I don't see a problem there. You don't even have to necessarily crouch-jump to get on top of the build platforms. The way I've made the displacements ( the terrain/ landscape) you can pretty much reach all 4 platforms from every side, you just need to look where.
Now as I said this thread is ridiculous due to these two being the only negative arguments that were bought up. And I've just explained / debunked both.
What makes this even worse is that it almost seems like someone here is disliking it for no real reason.
Doctor you've never been a builder, nor do I feel like you ever will be. Since the day you have joined you have been using ships which I built for you. So how does Shakuras negatively affect your building experience?
Again I respect your opinions, but if you dislike something give us all proper feedback.
Don't just sit there, pick something at random and hate on it. Tell us what EXACTLY is bothering you, WHY it does and HOW it could be fixed.
