3D rendering context hook?
Would it be possible to have a 3D rendering hook for the HUD to allow rendering things in 3D space and with depth, possibly running with the PostDrawTranslucentRenderables hook?
Personally, I would love to render a IMesh in 3D space to allow a 3D building or fancier detailing of ships |

The possibility of having a "Projector" will be definitely the best addition of the year !
Be able to project a model like this https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/6...nknown.png in game would be just revolutionary, so usefull and helpful. I support this idea ! Resistance, is futile. |

Seems like a great idea to me! Not only will we be able to use this for fancy bridge displays but it could help us build new ships with them being rendered in game instead of sifting through several images.

This is indeed something TSCM could definitely benefit from, although we'd need to find a way to make it easy and simple to use for the community.

I'm not going to add a rendering hook for 3D space as that's beyond the scope of a Starfall chip. However, I have enhanced holograms to allow them to render an IMesh object instead of a model, along with being able to override their material using a render target. This should provide most of the functionality you want.
Note that hologram meshes are subject to the same size restrictions as models and will be automatically scaled down if they're too big. |

Frankly, I think this addition is better than depth. This is going to allow some great details, especially on smaller ships. The RT material override is also a great unexpected change. For anyone who's still unsure, this is game changing.
