New Physical Clip Feature
It would be nice if you could define the plane using another prop, like how the workshop physical clip works. The hitpos of where you click is set as the origin of the plane, the direction is determined by the hitnormal and can be reversed depending what side of the plane the player is on.
This would make using physical clip significantly easier and faster in many situations, so I think it would be a great addition to the tool. ![]() |

RE: New Physical Clip Feature
I'm not sure using a hit position/normal would be particularly accurate or intuitive (hence why I didn't add it).
Instead, I've added an option to modify a plane's origin in the editor instead of specifying the distance, which should make positioning planes a lot easier. Also, pressing the middle mouse button (when not rotating the camera) will set the plane's angles based on the hit normal of a trace from the camera's current position to the entity (towards the crosshair/centre of the screen). These changes will be loaded after the next restart. |

RE: New Physical Clip Feature
Can it be possible to be able with middle mouse button, sate the plane's angles based on the hit normal of other props aswell ? Will be alot easier to clip props into other props, instead of calculing the angle which I almost each time don't understand how to do it
Resistance, is futile. |

RE: New Physical Clip Feature
I've updated it so that if you hold CTRL while middle clicking, other entities (excluding players/player weapons) in front of the crosshair will be hit so you can use them to set the angles.
