[Outdated] Space Engineers Modlist
Hey there folks,

the new server is coming along quite nicely and appears to be running pretty stable - yes, we already had it undergo plenty of stress testing.

However, as I mentioned in my previous thread, I really don't want to finalize the workshop collection/modlist without additional opinions and suggestions.

It already features quite a lot of decent mods, but if anyone here has further suggestions, please go ahead.


However, we will not add anything related to the speed limit, teleportation or modded pistons/rotors since those can just be a pain on dedicated servers. The performance is pretty good right now, we don't want to unnecessarily change that fact.


One thing I'd like to do is have one or two custom planets on our map, just to make exploration a bit more fun.
Here's a couple planets I'd personally prefer, but again, suggestions are welcome!
  • Khelek - a nice ice planet with cinematic valleys. Also includes resources other than just ice (yeah not always the case)

  • Ravcor - alien-ish planet. Big brother of sb_galaxies lava planet.

Furthermore, I'd love to get some opinions on the Space Nebula Mod (which performance is apparently pretty good on DS) and this corridor pack to add some variety to interiors (not everyone has the DLCs afterall).


I'm also getting opinions through Discord, so the modlist should be finalized fairly quickly. We will be launching sort of a closed beta to do some further testing after that. Once we are happy with the results, the server will be open for all of you to enjoy!

I like the modlist quite alot. If we're having planets could we get the basic aerodynamic wings mod or the plane parts mod if either of those are stables. As having that would be quite nice for making cheap transport on planets.

I'd like to see them as well but the Plane Parts one is apparently having some issues these days. But there isn't really any decent alternative as far as I remember.
I guess we should just give these a try then.

Alright, we have basically finalized the workshop collection at this point.
Following changes were made:
  • some NPC mods were removed due to minor issues they were causing. However, you will still be able to encounter random freighters, small structures drifting in space and sometimes abandoned bases/facilities on planets.
  • Mexpex' MWI weapon collection was replaced with 'Aryx Weapon Enterprises'
  • Space nebulae with volumetric lighting are now part of our map/world!
  • Plane Parts were added to allow for more realistic atmospheric vehicles
  • Offset Air Vents were added (why isn't this part of the base game Keen?)
The only thing that might still get added is a custom planet.
